82-Year Old Pedestrian Hit in Crosswalk

 
 

LETHBRIDGE: A 26-year old Coalhurst man has been charged, after an 82-year old pedestrian was hit in a cross-walk with the signal flashing Tuesday morning.

 

At 7:18-AM Regional Police were called to the intersection of Scenic Drive and 1st Avenue South. The woman had been crossing Scenic Drive westbound when a vehicle travelling eastbound on 1st Ave tried to turn south onto Scenic.

 

She was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

 

Russell Yoshihara is charged with failing to allow a pedestrian to use a crosswalk.
