Flood Information Session In Lethbridge On Wednesday

LETHBRIDGE - Residents displaced or affected by the recent flooding can attend an information session in Lethbridge on Wednesday night.

The session will provide more information on the governments new flood rebuilding policies and details of the disaster relief program.

MLA Greg Weadick says "with the disaster relief program, people are not totally clear as to what the perimeters of the program are and then the changes that are coming around development in river valleys, in flood ways and flood plains, there's going to be some new legislation and there's some issues where there won't be coverage of homes that are in the flood ways if they redevelop there, so we're trying to make sure that people have all the information they need as they start making those really difficult decisions."

The flood info session will take place at the Coast Hotel from 7 to 9pm on Wednesday.
