LETHBRIDGE: Michelle Kish only buys lottery tickets when she thinks of it, and she’s
grateful that she did on one particularly lucky occasion.
Kish won $1.5 Million on the July 24th LOTTO 6/49 draw, after buying a $5
Quick Pick ticket at Southview Gas King, at 2610-16 Avenue in Lethbridge.
One of the Selections on that ticket exactly matched all six numbers drawn on
the Wednesday evening draw – 2, 5, 12, 22, 44, and 48. She shared the $3 Million
Jackpot with another ticket, purchased in Quebec.
The new Lotto winner discovered her win when she stopped on her way to work
and checked the ticket at a self-serve Ticket Checker.“I wasn’t sure how much it
actually was, but I signed the ticket right away, just to be sure,” she
remembered. “I brought it over to the girl at the counter and asked her if I was

prize to buy a house.
The first LOTTO 6/49 draw was held on June 12, 1982. The richest win for a Lethbridge ticket holder was for a draw on November 14,
2012 and was worth $45,677,260.50
