Man Charged After Threatening House Guest With Rifle
Lethbridge: Lethbrigde Regional police were called the the 900 block of 9th street North just before 6 o'clock on August 16th after receiving a complaint that a man had been threatened with a firearm.
After further investigation, it was determined two men who knew each other had started an alcohol-fueled disagreement. The homeowner demanded the guest leave his home and later retrieved a rifle that he pointed in a threatening manner at the guest.
Everyone left the home except the homeowner. Police were called and the fire arm and homeowner were taken into custody.
No one was harmed in the incident. 39 year-old Callen Andrew Willis of Lethbridge has been charged with careless use of a firearm, possessing a weapon dangerous to the public peace, uttering threats to cause death, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
