Five Vehicle Collision On Highway-3 Brings Traffic To A Halt Near Coleman Sunday Evening.
COLEMAN: Holiday travellers faced a major delay in their return home from B.C.
Sunday evening due to a five vehicle collision on Highway-3, just west of
Crowsnest Pass RCMP along with Lethbridge Traffic Service's continue to
investigate the cause of the collision. While a news release from Crowsnest
Pass RCMP puts the time of the collision at 8:00-pm, travellers have reported to
Country 95 News that they were stopped in the long line of east-bound traffic
around 6:30. At one point, one traveller noted traffic was backed-up to the
Crowsnest Pass RCMP and Crowsnest Pass emergency services along with
Pincher Creek EMS, Sparwood EMS and Lethbridge RCMP traffic Services attended
the scene of the collision. There were no fatalities but those injured were
transported to the Crowsnest Pass Health Center with unknown injuries (number of
injured were not indicated by RCMP).
While the investigation continues, RCMP have indicated that alcohol is
not a factor in the collision. Also, weather and highway conditions were sunny
