Western Canadian Horse Trainers Compete In Colt Starting Challenge

 
 

Taber: Western Canada's up and coming horse trainers will compete in the Rocking Heart Ranch Colt Starting Challenge and Sale, Saturday, August 24th.

 

The event will be held at the Taber Agriplex. 10 trainers will show the basic fundmentals they have trained a horse they were given for the competition. Showmanship qualities will earn trainers extra points.

 

The horses were selected randomly for the competition. The trainers have had their horses since the middle of June and have to put a minimum of 45 days on them to be eligible for the challenge.

 

A sale of horses will also beshowcased at the event, plus involement of the 4-H community with judging, and a draw to help get youth back in the saddle.
