"No War In Syria" Protests Held In Lethbridge

Lethbridge: Protesters rallied against War in Syria Outside City Hall, Augst 31st.

They promoted peace not war as a resolution for the Civilian killings in Syria.

"I think if there were to be war and Obama stomps in there and starts bombing them, it's going to drag everybody else down. It's another straw on the global camel. It's only a matter of time before something breaks. Whether it's this war or the next one that's going to happen because I feel it's unnecessary for them to go in there in the first place." said organizer, Eric Jensen.

Jensen would like to see humanitarian efforts brought to Syria.

"Ideally I would like to see further investigations into exactly why and how the chemical bombings happened, before just going ahead and blasting them with missiles. Sit down with them and be diplomatic." adds Jensen.

Jensen says from his understanding, the protests were a global effort.
