GRASSY LAKE:  Cocaine on its way to Grassy Lake, east of Taber, may have been ultimately destined for Calgary.

According to Metro News, the U-S Drug Enforcement Agency discovered 30 kilograms of cocaine and 11,000 pounds of marijuana being moved from Mexico, with the pot destined for U-S states and the Cocaine on its way to Grassy Lake.

Seven people, six of them members of a Mexican Mennonite community, were charged in connection with the massive drug bust last week. Phone records showed the Mexican Mennonite community, which has direct links to a drug cartel, were allegedly in contact with someone in Grassy Lake, which has a large Mennonite community.
