LETHBRIDGE: A trial date has been set for a Lethbridge Regional Police officer, charged with assault causing bodily harm.
May 5th of 2012 while making an arrest for public intoxication, Constable David John Easter is accused of striking a 20-year old male who then fell to the ground and hit his head. The man was later taken to hospital where they discovered he had a serious head injury.
The trial has been set to run from February 4th, 5th and 6th.
This is the first time that the 14-year veteran of the force has faced these kinds of allegations.
