LETHBRIDGE: In the interest of public safety, the Regional Police Service is issuing a public warning in regard to the
upcoming release of a provincial inmate.
Waylon Aylmer Heavy Head, also known as Oka, 34,
will be released from the Lethbridge Correctional Centre on Sunday, October 6th, after
serving a five month sentence for sexual assault, assault and breach of a
recognizance and undertaking. The offences occurred in Lethbridge earlier this

that he is a violent, sexual offender and has been deemed a high risk to
re-offend. He poses a significant risk of harm to the community.
Heavy Head will be residing in the City of
Lethbridge and is bound by a probation order with conditions that he:
1. Abstain from the excessive consumption of
alcohol or other intoxicating substances
2. Remain in the jurisdiction of the

this information and warning after careful deliberation of all related issues,
including privacy concerns, in the belief that it is clearly in the public
interest to inform members of the community of the release of Waylon Aylmer
Heavy Head, AKA Oka. Police believe there is a significant risk to the health or
safety of the public.
Residents are advised that the intent of this
process is to enable members of the public to take suitable precautionary
measures and not to embark on any form of vigilante action.
