High Risk Offender Prompts Lethbridge Schools to Take Extra Safety Precautions

LETHBRIDGE: Both the Lethbridge Public School District and Catholic School Divison are taking extra precautions, with the possibility that 48-year-old Michael Sean Stanley is still in the city.

Stanley is a high-risk, violent, sexual offender and has a long history of sexual offences against women and children.

Both the public and Catholic school systems have sent letters home to parents, informing them of the situation and going over some safety measures they can take. Staff have also been told to be more vigilant, especially during recess, and are having discussions with students regarding safety.
