LRPS Continue to Investigate Suspicious Package Incident

LETHBRIDGE -   Regional Police were on scene for more than six hours along the 1200 block of 2 Avenue South, to deal with a suspicious package left at a business Thursday morning.

Just after 3:00, members of the Explosive Disposal Unit destroyed the package, which did not contain any explosive substances.

Police continue their investigation in the immediate area of the business.  Roads that had previously been closed in the area were re-opened by 4:30.

The investigation continues and no other information has been release by police.
