Food Banks Get A Boost From Drive Away Hunger Campaign

LETHBRIDGE - Farm Credit Canada's Drive Away Hunger campaign was a big success across the country.

During the tour here in Lethbridge last Thursday, where they drove a tractor and trailer around the community collecting food and cash donations, they brought in 25,780 pounds of food.

Across Canada, they were able to gather 6.5 million pounds of food, which represents a 108 percent increase over last year.

All the food that was collected went to food banks in the local area.
