RCMP Ask For The Public's Help Solving Theft Of Safe Which Held Gold Bars

FORT MACLEOD:  It's a case of someone taking advantage of a golden opportunity. However, this was illegal.

Sometime between the night of October 2 and October 7, a personal fire-grade safe was stolen from a home in the 400 block of 11th Street in Fort Macleod.

The safe contained legal documents, three one-ounce gold bars, several one-ounce vials of gold dust, and a set of wedding bands.

RCMP continue to investigate and ask for the public's help identifying any suspects. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has any information should contact Fort Macleod RCMP at 403 553-7200 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
