Slowpitch Rec League Under Investigation Over Missing Money
LETHBRIDGE: The season may be over for the Lethbridge Mixed Slowpitch Association but
Regional Police have had to pick up the play.
At a meeting last week, LMSA members were told between $35,000 and $40,000
was missing from the Association's accounts.
Country-95 was told at the time that a member of the Association was being
investigated. The Regional Police confirmed "a complaint has been received and
an investigation is underway. However, because the matter is ongoing, it would
be inappropriate to comment further".
The Lethbridge Mixed Slowpitch League, which plays out of Softball Valley, is
made up of more than 90 teams, which include about 1100 players.
