Apartment Fire Causes $25,000 Damage

LETHBRIDGE - A fire at a west side apartment building on Monday caused $25,000 damage.

The fire department was called out around 11am after alarms started ringing and smoke was seen coming from the first floor of the building in the 300 block of Highlands Blvd. West. Fire damage was contained to one unit.

A preliminary investigation has determined the fire is not suspicious in nature.

Fire officials remind residents not to store any material on top of the stove, even if you think the power is off.
