Collision Claims A Man's Life and Injures Four Members of a Family

VAUXHALL:   RCMP are still investigating but indicate speed and road conditions are believed to be contributing factors in a collision that claimed a life.

The incident happened about 5:30 on Sunday, November 10th, on Highway 36 just South of the Bow River. It involved a north-bound minivan with a family of four and a southbound car with one male driver.

Investigation on-scene determined the car slid into the northbound lane, where the two vehicles collided. The driver of the car died at the scene, while the male driver of the van is still being treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The other occupants of the van were released from Hospital with minor injuries. Names and details of the people involved will not be released at the families request.
