Charges Pending After Collision On Diamond City Curve

LETHBRIDGE: Fortunately there were only minor injuries to two drivers, as a result of a collision Tuesday night near Diamond City.

Picture Butte RCMP responded to the two vehicle incident around 6:30 on a curved portion of Highway 25, known as the Diamond City curve.

A north bound pickup truck lost control and hit a south bound car, at which point the truck was engulfed in flames. Fortunately emergency crews were able to quickly extinguish the blaze and both drivers escaped with only minor injuries.

Police report that the roads were icy and visibility was limited at the time, adding that alcohol was not a factor. They will continue to investigate and noted that charges are pending.
