Charges Laid in Theft of More Than $56,400 From Local Sport Group
LETHBRIDGE: A 34-year-old Lethbridge man has been charged in connection with an internal
theft from the Lethbridge Mixed Slowpitch Association.
Police charged Tyler Adam Cseke, with one count each of theft over $5,000
and uttering a forged document. Cseke has been released from custody with
several conditions including prohibitions from associating or communicating
directly or indirectly with any registered member of the LMSA board, including
current and past board members or staff members as well as from being a
volunteer member of any board or association. Cseke will make a first court
appearance on December 23rd.
Regional Police began an investigation in October of this year, after
financial discrepancies were discovered during an internal audit of LMSA
accounts. An investigation by the Economic Crimes Unit determined that between
June 2012 and September 2013 more than $56,400 of LMSA funds were
