Two Youths Face Charges After Theft On Boxing Day

Lethbridge: Two young people face charges after a theft case on Boxing Day. At 3:16 PM on December 26th, police attended a complaint of two youths who'd stolen a bottle of cologne from a local store.

One of the young people left the store without paying for the bottle. He was caught by security and informed he was under arrest. The young person attempted to run, but security continued to keep hold of him.  The second youth grabbed the security guards hands and pryed them open, freeing the first culprit.

Both were found a short-time later. One youth is charged with theft and escape lawful custody. The second has been charged with intent to resist arrest and assist in escaping lawful custody.

Names won't be released due to the offenders age.
