Drug Investigation Leads to Charges Against Two City Residents

 
 

LETHBRIDGE:  A pair of city residents have been charged with drug offences after a search at a north-side home late Thursday night.

 

Around 11:49 p.m. the Tactical Team entered a home along the 100 block of 22 Street North, where a man and woman were found inside. The woman was arrested without incident but the man assaulted an officer while the officer was searching him.

 

Police seized a quantity of cocaine, heroin and oxycodone pills.

 

Chad James Patterson, 35, of Lethbridge, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count each of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, assault a peace officer and possession of the proceeds of crime.

 

Megan Linda Vaykovich, 25, is charged with possession of a controlled substance.

 

Both appeared in court Friday morning.
