LETHBRIDGE: ***Up-Date Regional Police have confirmed that an arrest made at
the University of Lethbridge Friday morning was in assistance to another Police
Local police helped the Calgary Police Service locate and
arrest a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred Thursday at a Calgary bank.
About 11:30 Friday morning, LRPS members were at the U-of-L
and witnesses told Country 95 News that officers contained areas leading up to
the arrest. A suspect was arrested without incident, with help from the
University of Lethbridge Security.
Access to a portion of the university campus
was affected during the arrest, but no students or staff were placed in danger.Officers remained on campus for some time to gather evidence.
The suspect is not a student of the university. LRPS will
not release any further information regarding the incident.
