PICTURE BUTTE: *** Up-Date
Alberta Emergency Alert issued a Water Quality notice for Picture Butte at 9:11-pm Wednesday.
A water main break in the community was corrected Wednesday evening. However, Picture Butte residents will need to boil their water until further notice.
On Thursday morning, Alberta Health stated the Piyami Health Centre (Urgent Care) and other community health programs in Picture Butte will continue to operate normally under the boil water restrictions.
Further to the statement:
All Picture Butte residents and businesses are advised to bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute prior to any consumption, including:
- brushing teeth
- cleaning raw foods
- preparing infant formula or juices
- making ice, etc.
- Water used for bathing or washing clothes does not need to be boiled.
Residents may want to purchase bottled water until the boil water advisory is lifted.
