On December 20th, I had surgery for a complete thyroid removal due to being diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Luckily my treatment ended there and I’m now just on the 6 month check up plan with my cancer specialist in Calgary.
The first few months after my surgery were rough, I won’t lie. I was extremely fatigued both mentally and physically while still trying to work full time. By March I started feeling a bit better, and with a change of medication in April, I started feeling much better. To the point that I started going to the gym at least 3 times a week.
So it’s nice when people see the results of your efforts at the gym, but also that you’re physically looking good after going face to face with Cancer!
