The other day, Calgary area got hammered with snow.
In fact, it was the snowiest October day in 104 years.
Calgary Police were kept running with close to 300 accident reports and transit busses, like many other vehicles, were getting stuck or slipping and sliding all over the place.
Driving wasn’t really an option for many. So this Calgarian did as any smart Canadian would do duringĀ a storm – cross country skied to where they needed to go. I’ve seen this once in Lethbridge. A couple of years ago as I was driving to work on 43rd Street after a huge snowfall and saw someone cross country skiing northbound likely to work that morning.
