I’ve been reading up on the discipline, no I guess it’s more of an art – maybe both – of tidying up & chucking out what we don’t need. It’s said to make us happier in the long run and bring us all kinds of personal and physical change. The philosophy is simple: only hold on to what brings you joy. If you feel nothing, let it go. It’s a minimalist movement where we pare down the material in our lives to make room for more experiences and time to enjoy those experiences. I find it inspiring that people like Marie Kondo & Fumio Sasaki have redefined themselves and their purpose simply by decluttering their lives. Could you do this? How do you think it would change you?
