Dr. Seuss & his world of magical characters will forever live on in our childhood imaginations and now in real life too, in the Amazing World of Dr. Seuss Museum which just opened in his hometown of Springfield, Massachusetts on Saturday! The beloved children’s author & illustrator Theodor Geisel – who wrote his life work using the pen name Dr. Seuss – has gifted us with a legacy that makes it hard to stop dropping his quirky rhymes whenever the mood strikes – which I suppose was always the point! The museum features interactive exhibits, artwork that the public has never laid eyes on before & shares how Geisel’s childhood experiences created the whimsical lifework we all know by heart. All the Seussy characters are there…from the Lorax, to Horton, Thing 1 & Thing 2…to the Cat in the Hat….now how about that! Geisel passed away at the age of 87 in 1991.
